Create Custom Structure from Official Course not working

Post by gmwade » Fri Mar 27, 2020 9:08 pm

At approximately 3:12 in the following video (05 Ferris Wheel | Rig) from The Official Character Rigging course with Duik Bassel:

https://en.tuto.com/account/purchases/v ... 229451-rig

intructions are given to generate a custom rig for the "wheel" by simply supplying a "Name" and setting the "Number of elements" to 1. When I tried this the wheel structure was not properly created. Please see attached screenshot which clearly shows the issue.

I am using AE 2020 version 17.0.5 (build 16) and DUIK Bassel v16.2.8 | March 17, 2020.

Thanks for any help.

I think this is because you have some layer selected at the time you create the structures. In more recent versions of Duik, it aligns the new structures to the selected layers anchor points, and if you have only one, it may not finish the creation process.

Make sure you don't have any layer selected before creating the structure.
