I tried several times, and I don't seem to be able to set up properly the animation blender. How frustrating!
Where does it go wrong?
I set 3 markers in the comp to be controled, (markers named 1, 2 and 3 to make things simple) and then when I set markers after those names in the controller, nothing happens, or more precisely, the animation goes just as I set it up in the comp to be controlled, but the controller doesn't interfere.
Any suggestion?
I am using Duik 16.1.0 beta3, and AE 16.01.

Animation blender
Re: Animation blender
Some progress.
During the set up process, when I set a Marker within a working zone, this zone is remembered and will appear in brackets in the time bar all the Way up, BUT the name I give it in Duik (for instance 1,2,3) is NOT remembered, so I have to write it again directly in AE. Once it is rewritten up there, and once of course I Add layer markers on the controller, then finally it works.
This is not what I expected:-)
Down here you can see the name of the animation I wrote (1) in the Duik tool facing the set button.
And down here you can see that this name is not taken into account int the time bar all the Way up. Brackets only. I hope this can be useful to others!

Re: Animation blender
Continued monologue : let's summarize the difficulties I encountered (took me a while to understand).
I expected the set up tool to memorize somehow the name of the animations that will appear subsequently as comp markers. The comp markers do apppear, but without their names, and as long as you don't set those names up, it's not going to work.
So you have to name the comp markers directly, and of course after that you have to set the layer markers on the controller to trigger the animations.
Great tool once you get the hang of it.

Re: Animation blender
Thanks for your feedback, this may be helping to write a better documentation for the tool. It's not easy to explain...
I'll record a video tutorial one of these days, but I did not have time yet

Re: Animation blender
Hey, newbie question about the Animation Blender.
Doesn't the "Blending" Option work with keyframes on paths?
I tried it and got the following error

Re: Animation blender
Hi,
Unfortunately no(t yet)...
Path are special properties which really don't work like the others and it needs more development for this kind of stuff. I'm a bit afraid about the loss of performance also if this feature is developed, we'll see...
