Looking for DUIK character animators

Post by ulfstein » Tue Oct 02, 2018 3:45 am

Hi everyone,

We're in the process of working on an online animated educational series that's quite similar in style to the Archer TV series. Since everything is coming together in After Effects, DUIK was the obvious choice for the character animation side of things and with that in mind, we're looking for a character animator that could come on-board to cover that side of things.

If you're interested please drop me a line a odsturm@gmail.com and I'll send through more information. Including a link to examples of past work would be appreciated.

Best regards

Hi,

I'm sorry I forgot to reply to your mail!

Are you looking for someone who could work from distance, or on location (and where are you located? ;) )
Can you provide an image showing the style of what you're doing?
And finally, what's the quantity of animation to be done / for how long do you need the animator? Do you have a deadline?

Maybe here at Rainbox we could help you with this, depending on your answers ;) I'm also going to share this with my contacts and on social networks.

Hi everyone,

Here's a little more information to help things along:

1- The style is very similar to the Archer TV series, some examples of which you can view here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=llUJb3VKSBQ
2 - We're currently working on episodes 1 and 2. There are 3 more in the works and if it goes down well there will be another 3 - 5.
3 - We would indeed be looking for someone to work remotely, using DUIK and After Effects.
4 - For the most part the animation is very simple, not nearly as action-oriented as Archer. Approximately 60% of the shots are mid- to close-up talking heads.
5 - The deadline for the first episode is end of November (the first episode is 2 mins long of which approx 40 seconds still require character animation).
6 - Here are series of screen grabs of the style, sets and characters that have been created: https://paper.dropbox.com/doc/Mastering ... oJfAF7ACfY
7 - The ideal candidate would have rigging experience.

Any further questions, please feel free to get in touch on odsturm@gmail.com

Many thanks.
