should the characters legs be in neutral position for rig?

should the characters legs be in neutral standing position for the walk cycles to work ?

changing comp size?

with a fully rigged character, when i change comp size the rig goes nuts. im not sure what way it goes wrong, but it messes the position and rotation of the elements

make a new rig the only thing to do in this situation?

i thought that moving the skull would move the position of the head.

how to realign the bones of the rig without moving the images?

if i need to make adjustments to the position of the bones of the rig how can i do this without moving the images that are parented to them?

"toggle edit mode" doesnt seem to work for this, not sure why
