Flip character and move layers to different Composition

Post by Drifter TV » Tue Apr 02, 2019 5:01 pm

Hi,

I want to flip the character. I can't find anything in the manual or online. Anybody any clues?

Another thing i want to do and can't : Copy and paste the layers of the rig into another composition.
After done so, IK is lost nothing works. Is this the wrong way of doing things?

Any help is much appreciated!

Nils :D

Hi,

This is a job for the Extract Controllers tool.

Using the rig as a precomp and extracting the controllers is also a way to avoid having to copy and paste the layers from a comp to another; you'll just have to duplicate the precomposition (using True Comp Duplicator to fix the issues with nested comps). Just be sure to always keep a copy of the comp as it is BEFORE having extracted the controllers.
