Character holding rigid object?
Character holding rigid object?
Is there a way to rig a character and pin a rigid object in their hands (in this case a microphone stand), so that the hands stay fixed on the object and will move together when the object, or one or other hands is moved?
Re: Character holding rigid object?
I don't really understand.what you're trying to achieve.
If you want the mic to stay in the hand from.a specific time, the best way is to have two microphones, one parented to the scene, the other to the hand, and switch the opacities at the time the hand gets it.
If on the contrary, if the hand has to stay still on the mic, you can parent it to the mic. But if you can't keep this parent link the whole time, it's a bit tricky as parenting can't be animated natively in Ae... you can try to use the parent constraint in Duik for this, it's basically animatable parenting, but it's very heavy and may have a very bad impact on performance in your comp...
