A weird, uncommon problem with the DUIK interface

Post by nagymarci » Wed Nov 02, 2016 10:08 pm

Dear DUDUF team,
first of all, thank you for the great software!
DUIK is such a brilliant script, I decided to add a couple exercises based on it to my AFX class.
Not counting a few bumps with installation on Mac computers, We only experienced only ONE bug on only one of the student's computers.
We tried to auto-rig a full character, but when we tried to select the appropriate layers to assign from the drop down menus, two or three of them were always missing. For example: if the composition we've been working with, had 14 layers, only the first 12 or 11 of them showed up in any of the drop down menus. We tried to select all the layers, then started the rig, tried to select none, rearrange the layers, open up a new composition, do a different character, use different layer names, reduce the number of layers, etc, but to no prevail. The couple of layers at the bottom of the comp just wouldn't show up in the drop down menus, no matter their numbers, names, position, etc.
Has this ever occured to anyone else? Is there a possible solution?
Thank you in advance

+ info:
we're talking about a laptop here, so the resolution is not over normal hd, and nothing else is cropped in the duik window.
(just to elaborate, that it's not the "too high resolution" error, some people ran into - though might be related. I don't know)

Hi!

Thanks for your feedback. We've noticed some weird issues with the dropdown menus in After Effects scripts too, but we don't know yet what's causing this...
The items in the menus are available anyway, even if they are hidden, using the arrow keys on the keyboard. We're aware this is not enough, and we are going to try to avoid using dropdown menus at all in the next version of Duik!
