Expression error: unterminated string constant

hey!

I was trying to follow a tutorial to try and learn character rigging for the first time. It all seemed so easy but I still ran into a problem:

I'm trying to rig my character using the puppet tool. But when I click on add bones, I get two expression errors per puppet pin. The bones get generated but are not parented to the joints of my character (Shoulder, Elbow, Wrist), and thus don't control anything.

The errors:
1. After Effects warning: Expression Disabled. Error at line 1 in property 'Bone color' of layer 4 ('armR') in comp 'Pow'.
Unterminated string constant.

2. After Effects warning: Expression Disabled. Error at line 3 in property 'Position' of layer 4 ('ArmR') in comp 'Pow'.
Unterminated string constant.

At one moment one pin seemed to work but it seemed completely random because I wasn't trying anything new yet. When I retraced my steps it didn't work the second time anymore.

Admitted: I run CC2015, and the option between legacy and advanced puppet engine doesn't show up in the effects panel. Maybe it's an older version of the puppet tool? Could this be the problem?
The amount of triangles is maxed out and I tried different expansion settings but nothing seems to solve it (I read that for other people this was a solution).

Hopefully somebody is able to help. I'd love to learn this plugin!
