Rigging a character facing right?

Post by badmaryband » Sun Apr 21, 2019 8:41 pm

I know this is a really dumb question, but I read through documentation, watched a bunch of videos, and can't find an answer.

I drew my character facing right, added all the bones etc and wanted to use the hominoid structure... but it faces left. How do I turn it around? Or if I just move the rig to line up with my bones... it will still work - even the auto walk cycle?

Things I've tried:

Just tried to align the structure with the character facing the right. Walk cycle doesn't work (it "works" but the movement is all wrong, thinks the character is facing the other way...)

Removed the bones, turned the character -180. When I add the bones, it distorts the character in weird ways - just adding the bones.

So doing something wrong.

The Structures have no predefined "side". The hominoid is created like this just as a reference, but you can move each element the way you need.

If the walk cycle goes backwards, you'll just have to change the walking speed to something negative in its parameters. This should be automatic, but it seems sometimes it does not detect the side correctly.

You need to bend a legs a little in the knees at the bone, even if the character has straight legs. In this way program understands which way your character is turned
