Walk Cycle Automation - How to prevent foot slippage?

Post by AaronSugar » Sun Nov 24, 2019 3:58 pm

I'm wondering if anyone has found a best practice for using the walk cycle animation to have a character walk across the screen without having its feet slip back along the ground when walking. I've done it in Adobe Character Animator where the speed of the walking can be matched to the body movement and the feet look to "stick" to the ground, but it doesn't seem to be as intuitive with DUIK.

Here's what I'm talking about (starting at 1:48) how do I get the character's feet to "stick" to the ground when walking?
